PDMS (polydimethyl siloxane) is a flowable, transparent encapsulant, typically used at the nanoFAB for casting of molds during the fabrication of flexible microfluidics.  The nanoFAB uses Dow Sylgard 184, which is a two-part, 10:1, room temperature or heat curable mixture.

Process InformationThe PDMS Process area consists of several tools required for PDMS fabrication.  A desiccator, fumehood, PDMS only scale, a PDMS only spinner and two vacuum ovens for degassing and curing are available as part of this process area.
